The noble dream to which America is too controlled to pursue…
1- Revolutionize the education system in america! Allow for a new means of upholding the value and role of the free market along with an ethical and non bias approach to teaching our kids about the natural and positive affects of being reverent…
I’m with you on most of that, but you need to drop the globalism, or else you fall into the Marxist ideologue camp and are simply practicing doublespeak/
You can’t have a world community without independent sovereign nations.
It’s easy to see where what you said above is an apt depiction of what is going on, but what, specifically, would you advocate doing about it?
It is easier to curse the darkness than to shine a light upon it.
When you speak of global affinity, you give me great cause for concern. The brotherhood of man is an important concept, but we cannot forget that sometimes brothers kill or rob each other and must be stopped.
We can’t allow an environment where we surrender the walls which have separated us from the disasters wrought by our ‘brothers’…
How would you found a “real democracy?” That would be nothing more than mob rule. We need a representative democracy, aka republic. People in general are too easily swayed by demagoguery. Look to the last election as proof. Look at the polls after each of 0bama’s teleprompter readings as proof. Look to the public acceptance of the immense damage he is doing to our country as proof. Look at what the last 3 presidents did to us — not as bad, but catastrophic nonetheless.
You are advocating a nonviolent revolution, which is the Constitutional right of the U.S. citizen, but what would you replace the bad with? something better? something worse? or a new face on the same wooden nickel?
I don’t think people ever claim ignorance as an excuse with regards to societal and governmental shortcomings. Part of being negligent in the first place is never noticing things, let alone intentionally going out of the way to ignore monumental problems. I’ve never met anyone who’s claimed ignorance as an excuse for our involvement in Iraq, even its well documented today that the WMD’s clause was a charade. People aren’t being ignorant, they just don’t give a damn. I think at this point the politicians in Washington are well aware that they can act without impunity, because people don’t do anything about what they deem to be wrong, except ***** and moan.
Okay, so you’re a Ron Paul fan. Dr. Paul is wrong about a few things in my opinion, so it’s hard to see this as a “do the right thing” issue.
For one, he believes in a strict Austrian economic policy. I’m more inclined to side with Milton Friedman, and Austrian-style economist who believed in fiat currency and a third party monetary policy body and was able to aptly demonstrate why. Friedman tried to take the best from Keynes and Adam Smith/FA Hayek. This won him the Nobel Prize in Economics.
Forgetting Japan and Germany for the moment, what do you think will happen if we remove our troops from South Korea? How long do you think the 38th Parallel will stand?
Anyway, rest assured that as an American I will always try to do and support the right thing for my country. For example, I will defend your right to support Ron Paul–to the death if that’s what’s necessary.
Politics is the absence of common knowledge, logical thinking, and doing the right thing. Politicians can not win elections telling people the truth. Govts need a reason to exist and the more the mettle and interfere with the more it comes accross as Compassionate. We need limited govt not more and the ire and destruction that the moron above me thinks will happen will not and as long as we have people like him who think the salvation of all troubles lies within the benevlence of the govt we are screwed and will never be free.
Actually the CORRECT things are finally, currently and ardently being pursued by our esteemed President Barack Obama, instead of the RIGHT-wing nut-job RepubiCON things which actually got US into this tremendous mess to begin with during “W”aste Product and Big Dick/Darth “Halliburton” Cheney’s eight year debacle, looking for the wrong man in the wrong country for Daddy Bush, while the true terrorist responsible for the 9/11/01 attacks on US during their miserable watch, or in a drunken stupor asleep at the wheel more accurately, Osama bin Laden remained/remains at large. They were the Weapons of Mass Destruction to our economy, wasting trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives unnecessarily in the Bush family’s second Gulf/Iraq War of choice which in my opinion we still can’t get out of quick enough!!
We could do everything you suggest if we wanted to go back to the child and sweatshop labor that was going on prior to Theodore Roosevelt.
One of these days, you’ll wake up and realize the policies you support are only being pushed by people who want that to happen.
OK boys and girls. Reach out a hand to your neighbor, take her hand and sing along with me –
Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew
Cover it with choc’late and a miracle or two
The Candy Man, oh the Candy Man can
The Candy Man can ’cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
I agree with you……..
