Is 24 weeks considered 5 or 6 months ?Confused ?

I am 23 weeks and 2 days .I thought I was going to be 6 months(on Friday) then but then I read that it is only 5 months . Also someone on here said it too.

Yet when I was 20 weeks my OB said I was 5 months and also when all the money has to be payed is 7 months(in parenthesis it said 28 weeks) .

So am I going…

Different people see it as different ways. 24 weeks is 6 months. I’m 6 months one week, and im 25 weeks.

When you say 20 weeks is 5 months, you’re assuming only 4 weeks in one month, or 28 days. Since the only month with 28 days is Feb. it’s not really accurate. If you went that method, at 40 weeks, you would be 10 months pregnant, and that isn’t the case. 23 wks 2 days is 163 days – divide that by 30 days (a more accurate month number), and you get 5.4. I’d go with 5 and a half months prego.

I personally would consider it as 6 months, 4 weeks to a month. Depends on how you look at it

24 weeks is 6 months, pregnancy is technically 10 months, hence the 40th week mark. 23 weeks is 5 months and 3 weeks.

Yes 24 is 6 months.

Just think of it like this…multiply 4 by how many months you are.

6 times 4 = 24 weeks

congrats =)

6.. in a pregnancy, a month is considered 4 weeks, so you are really pregnant for 10 months.

your 6 months like me:)
22-26 weeks pregnant is considered 6 months
and 5 months is 18 to 21 weeks

congrads:)

It’s totally confusing because eveything I read has the weeks divided up differently. I’m 25 weeks and as far as I can tell I’m in the middle to the end of my 6th month.

you are pregnant for 9 months… 40 weeks is not 10 months like some people think… every month is not exactly 28 days and those extra few days from each month is what makes it 40 weeks, so it is still 9 months.

you are due in August so that would make you 5 months pregnant because you have 4 more months to go!

good luck!

24 weeks is 6 months:) Congrats and good luck!
