Why will he send all Muslims to Hell for some time? What is the purpose of that torture if he can just say, “You are forgiven?”
You might not believe this, but this is a serious question, not meant to offend but to understand.
Regardless of what Islam teaches, God gives us a chance to repent while we’re still on this earth. If we don’t, we aren’t forgiven in hell – that’s a dead-end place and there is no escape for ETERNITY.
First of all, there is a BIG misconception in the question. Nowhere in the Qur’an does it EVER say that ALL Muslims will go to Hell (even for a short time). The only ones who will go to Hell is those who have sinned. So if you are Muslim and you have sinned, then you will go to Hell. It does say, however, that even these Muslims will eventually enter Paradise after they have served their punishment for their crimes. Also, Allah is the Most Merciful because he will forgive any sins you have committed, BUT ONLY IF YOU ASK IT OF HIM SINCERELY. If you sincerely repent and regret, then you won’t go to Hell to be punished for the sin if you have been forgiven. You only go to Hell for those sins you have not been forgiven for, which most likely means that you have not sincerely repented and asked for forgiveness for those sins.
I think what you are talking about is the fact that before entering Heaven, everyone must walk over the pit that is Hell. If you have many good deeds and you’re faith is strong, you will cross over unscathed and without harm to enter Paradise. If you do not, however, you will indeed feel some of what Hell will be like, though if you are still good enough, you will still make it to Paradise. So I suppose in some ways, everyone will taste Hellfire, as everyone must get a glimpse of it to get to Paradise. And yes, it is true that if you become a Muslim and do not commit anymore sins, then you will most likely enter Paradise. And if you do repent and are forgiven for your deeds, then no you will not be punished for them. However, bear in mind that you won’t know which of your sins have been forgiven, because it is up to Allah SWT to decide whether to accept your repentance. So you must be utterly sincere in your repentance. Also, we can never truly predict who is going where in the Afterlife because only Allah SWT possesses that knowledge.
Yes Allah is the Most High and the Most Merciful!! Its Not doubt that he will surely forgive your sins! I will pray 4 u bro! May Allah Forgive You and Bless You ~Ameen~
As is mentioned in the Third Indication in the Tenth Word, the unbeliever only committed one sin in a short life, but within the sin was infinite wrongdoing. For unbelief is an insult to the whole universe, it reduces the value of all beings, it denies the testimony to Divine Unity of a11 creatures, and is contempt towards the Divine Names the manifestations of which are to be seen in the mirrors of beings. Therefore, in order to avenge the rights of beings on the unbeliever, the beings’ monarch, the All-Compelling One of Glory, casts the unbelievers into Hell, and this is pure right and justice. For an infinite crime demands infinite punishment.
Why are devils created? Almighty God created Satan and evils; what is the wisdom in it? Isn’t the creation of evil, evil, and the creation of bad, bad?

The whole of islam rides on one thing: Because mohammed said so. No proof he was a prophet at all. No proof of any of his revelations just his lone testimony. Muslims are following the false prophet they are warned about so will be headed for hellfire.
One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives and their “right hand possessions” (Quran 33:50) He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way. Muhammad was a narcissist like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin. He was astute and knew how to manipulate people, but his emotional intelligence was less evolved than that of a 6-year-old child. He simply could not feel the pain of others. He brutally massacred thousands of innocent people and pillaged their wealth. His ambitions were big and as a narcissist he honestly believed he is entitled to do as he pleased and commit all sorts of crimes and his evil deeds are justified.
First of all the Day of Judgement belongs to God alone. Second guessing God is is an interesting notion, totally absurd but interesting never the less. If one is able to establish that there is a God then how can one question Him, lets quickly review the facts, by definition God is at least a million times more intelligent than a mere human, that is you and me, God knows the end game humans don’t. Then what gives ?
God has given the ability and responsibility of salvation to man himself. We all been given the ability to earn or lose our Heaven. God’s mercy is infinite but He is also a just and fair God. If we forget that our salvation is caused by our actions and inaction then nothing makes sense.
How do we know this? God told us repeatedly in the Quran. This brings us to the last possibility which you seem to imply that Quran may not be the word of God or the God mentioned in the Quran somehow is not “the” God. This in fact is an impossibility because Quran is a 100% verifiable communication from God. This multi-level verification is very well documented and freely available on the net. Please look it up 🙂
Yes he is Oft-forgiving Most merciful. But if he was to simply forgive us all, then what is the point of Life on earth?
This life is a test, to see who is best in actions. Those who worship him and do righteous deeds, there abode will be Paradise. Insha’allah.
Those who disbelieve and commit evil actions, dont repent and continue to disbelieve up until death meerts them, then Allah is just.
“Every punishment from Him is pure justice and every blessing from Him is pure grace” – Ibn taymiyah (rahimhuallah)
That will be injustice on the part of those that are innocent or hardly committed sin.
If a person who has committed sin and a person who has not committed sin both go to Jannah then the deeds who of those innocent person will be wasted.
Because we have obviously done something to deserve it. We have been given warning as to what our actions will earn us on eht eday of judgement, so when we make the decision to go against that, then we deserve punishment.
and only experiencing the hellfire for a short time versus for eternity…that is a mercy in itself. There will be those that will burn forever…no relief.
Allah (swt) knows best.
Because we should be punished for our sins, if there weren’t any punishments then we all do what we want. just like a child you will forgive them for their wrong actions once you have told them off/grounded him or taught him a lesson this is the same.
