Just looking for some ideas, thanks!
Education: The founding of Harvard, Yale, and Dartmouth to name a few.
Politics: George Washington, most of the signers of the Declaration of the Independence, John Adams (the Father of the Constitution), John Jay
Economics: purchasing decisions are often based on religious beliefs (alcohol, tobacco, etc)
Social interaction: Birds of a feather flock together; meaning that people like to be with people with whom they have things in common. If your faith is most important to you, then faith will be a determining factor in who your close friends will be. Not the only factor certainly, but it will be a factor.
NO politics. – God’s kingdom supercedes any goverment in existence. – Daniel 2:44, Matthew 6:10 But religion – YES. – Matthew 6:33, Matthew 22:37-39. Education? Economics? Not centered around, but they do come into play. Proper use of money and the gaining of knowledge and making a living are requirements for a Christian – so they are not ignored. – 1st Timothy 6:8-10, Ephesians 4:28, 2nd Thessalonians 3:10.
i will give you an example of how Islam influences those aspects:
– Islam asked Muslims in the old days to seek education in china which was months of traveling distance from their country.
– Rule with justice between people.
– Any type of interest is forbidden. a clear example why this is forbidden is our falling economy.
– God said there is no difference between any two people but in faith and that we were made nations to get to know each other and benefit from each other.
It is a moral compass. Ask someone that lived in the USA in the early 50’s to tell you what it was like then compared to now. Divorce was rare, murders were few, shootings in schools didn’t happen, abortion was illegal, sodomy was against the law, cussing in public wasn’t common, people didn’t wear PJ’s in public, spanking was common at home and in public school, and drug use was way down. We have lost our moral bearings as a nation and are spiraling out of control! We need revival in this land!
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
education: State of Kansas banning teaching of evolution – luckily overruled by the federal govt.
Politics – prop 8
Economics – social equality
social interaction – church networking
Just a few ideas to get you started
If your really into your religion then it might prevent you from doing something fun. For example, the christian religion says that listening to any other music besides christian music is a sin. that might prevent you from going to concerts, blasting music in your car, going to a party. ex.
The things is rationality is what influences everything. rationality of the lack thereof. The conclusions people draw beliefs will affect their actions, it always does.
It effects all of those because religion basically controls it all,or at least it has a big impact on it.
education = creationism and prayer in school, private schools
politics = abortion, blue laws, anti-atheism laws, anti-gay laws
economics = Israel, “Yes on Prop. 8,” tax exempt churches
social interaction = exclusionary churches
It is the ultimate control for the masses. so that should tell you how the world reality of truth functions. it is still real and that is what they want and how they keep it for the benifit of their world.
