I’m worried he might let me down, run around and/or desert me.
You’re no stranger to God. You know the rules, and so does he.
A full commitment’s what he’s thinking of.
You wouldn’t get this from any other deity.
You need to read the first chapter of Romans here are the last 11 or 12 verses of Romans 1. (caps added to help pin point)
Ro 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Ro 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Ro 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Ro 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Ro 1:24 Wherefore GOD ALSO GAVE THEM UP to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Ro 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Ro 1:26 For this cause GOD GAVE THEM UP unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Ro 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Ro 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Ro 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Ro 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Ro 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Ro 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
No, and if you are a born once more Christian then you are His youngster, and inheritor to the kingdom, and in case you give up on Him, he will under no circumstances give up on you. If you let Him down, he’ll love you still, and in case you put some thing ahead of Him, he’s going to draw you back to Him, and should you barren region Him, he will without end be with the aid of your part, for Jesus said, “i will in no way go away you nor forsake you.” if you’re a born once more Christian, he’s going to chastise you for any earthly father that loves his youngsters will chastise them, and given that our heavenly Father loves us even more than our earthy father, he’s going to surely correct people who find themselves His, for all of our alternatives have consequences, and they’ve on account that the starting of time. If you’re now not a Christian the Holy Spirit attracts you to Jesus everyday, and the more you reject Him the more difficult it is to ever come to Him, and His word says that God is not going to strive with man constantly, and in Romans one it inform us that after awhile he will quit on one and turn them over to the uncleanness and lust of their mind for they exchanged the reality of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the evil one alternatively than the Creator.
Be still. God will never leave you neither forsaken you. He’s a constant presence. a very faithful Friend. Lo, I’m with you always until the end. Stay close to Him in reading the Bible. It’s not a feeling. God never lies. Be reassured: the Lord is on your side.
God will NEVER give you up. He’s never gunna let you down. Never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye. Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you!
Your question sounds like a song I once heard, but to answer you God will never leave you but as another poster say you will leave him, you will even deny that he exist… All I can say is keep on praying and asking the question… He will answer you himself if you have a GENUINE need for him, that you really want to know him. Only you, you, you… t.c.h
In the beginning, “god” decided to not exist. Those that are looking to this non-existent being to save their sorry @sses are SOL. Sorry about that.
Happy New Mayan Long Cycle!
Happy New Year!
Blessings on your Journey!
I have been a lot happier ever since I stopped believing in God. You should enjoy life and not worry about what god will or wont do.
I don’t know what I love more, the question itself, or all of the religious people who don’t know who Rick Astley is trying to answer it.
He will never leave you, he will never forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6. Hebrews 13:5
