It allows for slavery, rape, murder, hate why can’t they see this is evil???? Would it be fair to say they are just like Hitler a devout Catholic????
All those things are condemned in the Bible. So, yeah…
Honestly, one of the most arrogant and idiotic arguments against the Christian, or the Catholic, faith is the “But Hitler was a devout Christian, and look at the atrocities he committed!” It has been greatly debated for decades whether Hitler was an atheist or a Catholic. But what most people forget is kind of important: Adolf Hitler was insane. He was a freaking lunatic, out to exterminate several ethnicities and religious groups and establish his “Aryan race” as supreme over all. That’s not a religion; that’s just crazy. But that was SO supported by Christians, now wasn’t it?
Christians don’t allow for “slavery, rape, murder, hate.” Au contraire, mon frère, true Christians preach freedom and equality (Mt 7:12), chastity (1 Jn 2:16), neighborliness (Lv 19:18), & love (1 Jn 4:21).
Roman Catholic Christian Monotheist
Hilter may have been raised a Catholic Christian but he denounced Christianity when he became a Nazi. Hitler’s Nazism was fully contrary to the Church. When this was recognized and condemned by the bishops in Germany, Hitler’s response to the bishops was to send all the Jewish Catholics he could find to the death camps. This move of Hitler claimed the lives of hundreds, including St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, a.k.a., Edith Stein. Hitler killed millions of Catholic Christians along with the millions of Jewish people that he also killed.
Hitler specifically rejected the Catholic Church, as well as Christianity in general. He described himself as “a complete pagan”.
Slavery, murder and rape and hate are all against the 10 Commandments. As Catholic Christians we all try to obey the commandments. But none of us are perfect, we still sin

thou shall not kill, thou shall not steal… very immoral indeed. I thought atheists were supposed to be “rational”?
And since Stalin was an atheist, Hitler couldn’t be openly atheist but instead used the militant communist fear and religion to his advantage.
“The dogma of Christianity gets worn away before the advances of science. Religion will have to make more and more concessions. Gradually the myths crumble. All that’s left is to prove that in nature there is no frontier between the organic and the inorganic. When understanding of the universe has become widespread, when the majority of men know that the stars are not sources of light but worlds, perhaps inhabited worlds like ours, then the Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdit”
You think all Christians are just like Hitler? Every single one? If so you need to do me a favor:
1. Go to the library.
2. Look up the Holocaust.
3. Read a book on it. One with pictures if you can find it.
4.Reread your question and see if you really think Christians are just like Hitler.
5. If you still do repeat steps 1-4 until you realize how ridiculous and insensitive your claim is.
No one is like Hitler but Hitler. He was a monster. You can share a trait such as similar religious position or similar national origin without being like Hitler.
Christianity also allows for charity, treating others the way you want to be treated, loving your enemy, and being non-violent. It all depends on how you read it and interpret it.
Mainstream Christianity condemns slavery, rape, murder, and hate.
The Bible does not explicitly condemn slavery. Colossians 3:22 even states, “Slaves, obey your human masters in everything.”
This was much debated before and during the U.S. Civil War (1861-1865), four hundred years after the Catholic Church became one of the first groups to condemn slavery.
The condemnation of slavery is one of those nonbiblical doctrines that Catholics have developed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit over the centuries (and that Sola Scriptura Christians criticize us about).
+ Under the influence of the Catholic Church, slavery disappeared from Western Europe by the mid-12th century
Unfortunately slavery was reborn during the age of Discovery and the Renaissance.
+ Sixty years before Columbus “discovered” the New World, Pope Eugene IV condemned the enslavement of peoples in the newly colonized Canary Islands. His bull Sicut Dudum (1435) rebuked European slavers and commanded that “all and each of the faithful of each sex, within the space of fifteen days of the publication of these letters in the place where they live, that they restore to their earlier liberty all and each person of either sex who were once residents of [the] Canary Islands . . . who have been made subject to slavery. These people are to be totally and perpetually free and are to be let go without the exaction or reception of any money.”
+ In 1462, Pius II declared slavery to be “a great crime” (magnum scelus). Note that this was 30 years before Columbus “discovered” America.
+ In 1537, Paul III forbade the enslavement of the Indians
+ Urban VIII forbade it in 1639
+ Benedict XIV forbade it in 1741
+ Pius VII demanded of the Congress of Vienna, in 1815, the suppression of the slave trade
+ Gregory XVI condemned it in 1839
+ In the Bull of Canonization of the Jesuit Peter Claver, one of the most illustrious adversaries of slavery, Pius IX branded the “supreme villainy” (summum nefas) of the slave traders.
+ Leo XIII, in 1888, addressed a letter to the Brazilian bishops, exhorting them to banish from their country the remnants of slavery — a letter to which the bishops responded with their most energetic efforts, and some generous slave-owners by freeing their slaves in a body, as in the first ages of the Church.

With love in Christ.
It’s more to do with the inspiration of obtain without effort. Within the Calvinist tradition, which informs most of the evangelical Christian denominations, this is corresponding to ill-gotten items. The one virtuous revenue is that which comes from the outcomes of sincere, tough work. Taking advantage of playing is like stealing; it is getting a reward however providing worth in doing so. Kind of like the stock market. With the entire problematic spinoff-centered and hedge fund varieties of investments, they’re little greater than playing strikes dressed up within the legitimacy of the market. In fact, none of the money invested in these instruments without a doubt do whatever to move forward a business organization; they don’t furnish additional capital for growth of production or innovation. They are without problems methods for Wall road pirates to seduce the common hardworking individual in an effort to separate them from the money produced with the aid of their labour. Work on your sales – that is the simplest virtuous solution to make cash.
Since it’s obvious you know nothing at all about God and His word, I can see why you are so confused. Just read the bible, study it. That will answer your questions. It’s not Christians that are immoral, it’s evil doers. Just because they “say” they are Catholic or Christian and then they do something terrible, that doesn’t mean ALL of the Christians are evil! Just like when a man kills someone, we can’t say all men are murders! Study His word….the answers are there.
They are taught about a loving god from childhood and accept him as real and believe they have a relationship with this benign, loving, perfect being. Many never read the nasty bits and those who do are able to account for them by saying Jesus brought a new covenant or that this is beyond their understanding but they know their god is a god of love. Most of them. I didn’t. I read the bible starting at the beginning at 8 and was terrified. Self harm, eating disorders, OCD took over my life and I did not recover from any of those until further reading of the bible and other books made me an atheist. I’m fine now.
Christianity also allows for a lot of lying and excuses too, apparently.
Hilter was NOT a “devout atheist” or any kind of atheist, for that matter.
But to answer this Q,
it is because the religion itself is not a first cause.
Denial of naturalism and actual death is.
Christianity doesn’t allow for slavery, rape, murder, hate. When Adam decided he wanted to try it his way, God said ok give it a shot. We have been a depraved society ever since. These are not things God wants they are just part of the fall.
