Why can you make a movie call White Boy cant Jump, but if you make a movie Black Man cant Swim its racist?

Its true im not trying to start a fight

It’s true. “Comedians” like Katt Williams or Carlos Mencia can do they’re “white boy” talks & walks impressions and get HBO specials. But if a white comedian says boo about anything stereotypical, it’s degrading, racist and …it’s on World News Tonight @ 6:30.

You obviously have a convoluted view of what “racism” entails. In essence, the word “racism” has a few common definitions according to various dictionaries. Firstly, “racism” refers to “the belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others,” “a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination,” “abusive or aggressive behaviour towards members of another race on the basis of such a belief,” and/or “hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.” Merely making a film entitled “Black Man Can’t Swim” does not equate to asserting that races have characteristics determined by genetics, are inferior/superior to others, a policy based upon the aforementioned meanings, abusive/aggressive behaviour towards individuals of other races, or an expression of hatred/intolerance for individuals of other races, which are the meanings of “racism.” Thus, merely creating a film called “Black Man Can’t Swim” is not racist.

Because when one race has 90% of the power in the world, it should be able to take a little satire. And… the eponymous white guy COULD jump.

Go back to watching Faux News, OK?

Because movies are made by white people.

You do realize the movie is about a white guy who broke stereotype, right?

Every dead comedian in the world is spinning in there graves….This is a very unorigonal Question

i fully agree. It’s so stupid. Reverse racism exists, just watch how intolerant black people are to race jokes.

good point
