Im a 16 yr old Girl & im going to buy my first used car….. its between a ‘ Black 2007 Pontiac G6 ‘ or a ‘ Red 2006 Mazda 3 ‘ …. Which car is better? In your opinion? for a 16 year old? i dont know much about cars and what is “cool” i guess ha , but out of these two cars which one would…
Under its skin, the Pontiac is the same as a Chevrolet Malibu. I’ve owned a 2007 G6 for a couple years now and have had no major issues with it. The interior is cheap but the cabin is quiet and comfortable; I have the top-of-the-line model, though, with the V6. Make sure you check the brakes, as they seem to wear out faster on the rears than the fronts. Two dealers say the typical GM “I’ve never seen that before” excuse.
The G6 comes as a coupe, sedan, or convertible; the Mazda comes as a hatchback or sedan. You can fit more friends in the Pontiac comfortably and haul more stuff, but the Mazda will be more fun to drive because it’s got a better weight balance.
I like the Mazda3, especially in that body style. I’d seriously consider one for a teenage daughter. I wouldn’t consider the G6 in anything but the convertible, because the Accord and Altima sedans and coupes are MUCH better cars overall. And I bought the convertible for me, not a 16-year-old girl. 😉
These are both decent cars but I’d go for the Mazda. Mazda cars are known to be very good handling(fun to drive) and are a higher quality in materials and workmanship (fit and finish). And red is easier to keep clean than black – bonus.
There seem to be alot of recalls on the Pontiac, and the Mazda gets better mileage. I have a Chevy and I love it. I would suggest checking out Chevy malibus and impalas, and also Ford fusions and focuses. But out of the two you suggested, the Mazda is a better choice. Good luck with your search.(:
The Mazda would be a better car for a girl. But as to which car is better, just not enough info. Need mileage, condition, how they’re equipped and more.
definatly go with the mazda even though myself i would say avoid red or any bright colors. the g6 is not a reliable car overall and parts tend to be higher priced
Yup Mazda, cheaper parts available.
