He says he will, but I can’t see how he will when he works day and night to create jobs.
He’s come up with the idiotic theory that paying people to do nothing on UI, creates more jobs than building a pipeline. Many of his brainless liberal stooges have accpeted this nonsense.
The 6500 temporary jobs created by the keystone pipeline won’t be worth it to anyone….especially since republican governors are refusing to allow it to travel through their states. And for good reason, given the 12 leaks and spills over the past 11 months with the current keystone pipeline. Remember when your party supported states rights? Me too….the good old days.
“Keystone’s CEO said Friday that the 13,000 figure was “one person, one year,” meaning that if the construction jobs lasted two years, the number of people employed in each of the two years would be 6,500. That brings the company’s number closer to the State Department’s; State says the project would create 5,000 to 6,000 construction jobs, a figure that was calculated by its contractor Cardno Entrix.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/h…
KJ is right and they are temporary jobs, 1-2 yrs max.
I hear that it is mixed with deadly chemicals to help it flow and it could take days to isolate and stop a leak. Days are the new months.
See what I mean, liberals, stupid, hippies, etc. And the right is always posting why are Libs so mean on here? Cons are the FN morons.
Yes he should Veto it. “20k” temporary jobs are not worth putting the drinking water of millions of Americans at risk. Of course, the Republicans still filibustered 2 million jobs, which does not bother cons for some reason.
its bad for the environment and most people don’t want that no were near their water or community.
the Job bill will create 2 Million proposed by Obama, the keystone will create less then 20 thousand.
He needs to stop worrying about his environmentalist whackadoodle base. It is not like as if he approves the pipeline, they will go vote for Gingrich.Although they might do a write in for Kucinich, or Stuart Smalley (Al Franken)
Compromise USED to mean ‘if you do this for us, we’ll do that for you” NOW, Compromise means “We are in charge, do it our way”
he will veto to keep the hippies happy until after election day but he also wants gas to stay above $3.50
