I’m an optimist, and I tend to think that people are, by and large, OK
I don’t subscribe to the “we’re all sinners and scum and can only be made better by god”.
We’re animals and we do what animals do – some of it is positive and some negative. But I’m often moved by the power of individuals and communities to do and be great
The human race consists of evil and good. There will always be a battle of God trying to overcome evil. This is life on earth. We hope that those who are kind and compassionate in life will find good after life has ended. I can’t judge or say what I would want to happen to the rest.
I just watched that youtube video on peanut butter disproving evolution. My opinion of the human race, already a little on the low side, just went through the floor.
The depths of stupidity to which humanity can reach are astounding.
i think God (or some sort of higher being) can co-exist with the theory of evolution. I believe it’s one and the same in a way. God (or whatever or whoever) actually created evolution…not so he can be an absentee landlord, so to speak….it sort of like watching your child grow…it starts off as a tiny little egg and grows into an adult. That’s the best way i can describe why God would have created evolution
Evolution is fact. That’s just plain and simple. Science has 100% proved that fact. I just don’t think ppl need to loose their faith in an afterlife b/c we answered one question. The one big question that still eludes us is Why….and that’s where faith and God come into play.
Spiritually speaking I think the human race are babies of the universe. Many of us seem to think they have it all figured out when their beliefs are like cave drawings compared to Picasso.
Well, Spiritually Speaking, way too concerned with things that don’t exist.
Way too concerned with a fraudulent self-sacrificing Jesus.
Way too concerned with a fraudulent other-sacrificing Islam.
Way too concerned with things that simply aren’t real and things that aren’t true.
But there is hope. The percentage of people citing “no religion” on census forms is ever increasing.
A plague on the earth that will eventually destroy itself.
That doesn’t mean you can’t live a happy life. Everyone will die one day and the human race will not last forever. You just have to live your life to the fullest.
The human race is a fallen, sinful people, who have turned from God.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, —Romans 3:23
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. —Galatians 5:19
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. —James 1:13-15
*There are more verses like these that tell us of humans sinful nature.
A bacterial infection hurdling through space on a wet mossy ball
Not a good one, let me tell you that. Humanity really is the biggest disease among us. This world is cruel and disgusting, and people are bringing more into it every day.
